It might also make them think it's cool to go out in public, or to work after they take tylenol. That's the issue.

So the Ot has a story of an65 yo that died from corona/pneumonia— family decided to not leave her on life support.
That made me think — doneenhave any way to know how many patients go on a vent for thisnthat do recover and come off? I know there’s a recovery stat but I’m wondering how many are able to come off of ventilation.

I've always been more worried about the economic side of this illness. I knew early on that China would impact the supply chain in ways you and I would not be able to even imagine in our wildest dreams. I was specifically worried about drugs, and people that depended on them not being able to get them-- and deaths occurring b/c of this. Initially, I was also worried about businesses shutting down, laying off people due to lack of product. I never once considered that we would be told to "stay home" and close specific businesses, etc. This is just wild, and each day I feel like it just gets a bit more crazy and surreal.My husband does Mortgage Collections, our bedroom is his new office and he's listening to people tell him about Covid and how they can not pay their bill. I fear this will only get worse. I wish the best for us all.

Business have no customers.
Business not business no more.
People have job no more.
People needed job for food, to not be poor.
People now poor.
People say, 'I would rather have corona than live like this.' Irony is that they had corona and didn't die, them surviving corona caused their issue.
People who make corona decisions say 'It would be so much worse if we did anything less than we do'
Or you know, use common sense and see how many businesses can't even make it one week without closing their doors.

So you want an exact number of increased deaths? Do you doubt that poor Americans are going to be crushed, do you think poverty is good or bad when it comes to short or longterm health? There are already free meals being given out in NOLA for people who can't afford to eat, and the people providing those meals are going broke every day they are down.
