The water rate is a good analogy. I like to explain it as a bucket with a hole in the bottom and a faucet adding water in at the same time. The flow rate in and out is constant and the level is at 70%. Covid represents you opening that faucet more and causing the bucket to overflow and it takes a long time to increase the size of the hole in the bucket.

I can agree with this. The Ohio Health Director has seemed downright hostile and threatening when talking about the PPE. I've said this before, but the shortages already existed before this crisis started.

Agreed. No one is discussing the global shoe shortage. We are not fragile based on that.

Exactly. If Joe American went to home depot and bought masks did that really cut off medical workers? They were not buying from there.

I just got a call from my grandmother saying she was with some church friends who had recently returned from Israel last weekend. Well of course a few of the people have now tested positive for the Wuhan virus. She did have physical contact with a couple of the individuals.
My aunt and uncle were with her for two days earlier this week. Yesterday my aunt and uncle were at my house picking some things up that I was storing for them in my garage. I didn’t touch either of them but was in the same areas as them.
I haven’t been around or seen my grandmother and nobody I know has had time to test themselves as this was found out within the hour.
Do I need to notify my employer and quarantine?
I have no clue how how many interactions away you can be away from this thing for it not be considered an issue.

Question for those in the hospitals -- in the case of the 92 and 98 yo who died, if they present to the er with issues breathing to the point of requiring a vent, I'm assuming that unless there is a DNR in place, a vent will be used, correct?
