How has no one in BR tested positive for this virus? Lack of testing or people don’t have it?
Yes, the CDC fricked up from the start with this.
There are thousands of undiagnosed cases out there, which is good and bad. Leads to continued spread, but also shows the mortality rate is a lot lower and prob in like with SK

Louisiana is at 51 positive out of 142 tests.

Coronavirus in the UK: Police to get powers to detain people suspected of having Covid-19 under emergency law

According to The Times, police and immigration officers will be able to detain people "for a limited period" if they're suspected of being infected - while the new laws will also allow the government to force schools and nurseries to stay open if they're closed by teachers or staff during the pandemic. Additionally, the government can stop "any vehicle, train, vessel or aircraft", and shut down ports if there are "insufficient resources" to ensure border security staff in customs and immigration officers do not contract coronavirus. The emergency laws will remain in effect for two years, according to the newspaper.
WTF

quote:Much less is simply false. But the spread had hardly anything to do with how contagious it was. You had the war and most countries trying to keep it under wraps. They didn’t know it was a virus. No vaccine or antibacterials where secondary infections could be stopped. Sanitation was totally different. The 70% with covid19 is a complete joke.
The Spanish flu was much less contagious than this thing. Deadlier yes but less contagious

Spain is about to declare martial law and shut down the country.
There’s rumors swirling that Switzerland is starting to turn away the over 80 for care in order to focus on younger victims.
It’s not just Italy. It’s not just China. It’s not just Iran. Our healthcare system is not substantially better than Italy’s, it’s just bigger. But we have way more people

I’m personally not projecting anything, just relaying from CDC for thought and discussion. Unlike you, I don’t speak in absolutes like my post is 100 truth. Every time you post, it’s just to say I’m right and you’re wrong. I hope you’re right and this is all hysteria.

And no, South Korea did not weld people shut in their houses.
The average South Korean is probably far more disciplined than the average American who apparently has to frick around town non-stop and fly everyone under the sun.

I’m not going to go linking anything because this isn’t a productive conversation. But the people who have been here from the beginning know.

We have more critical care beds and equipment per capita than any other country, by far.

Is no one paying attention to that bullshite the UK is putting into place? For 2 years???

Mysteriously, every time I post it no one responds

Also, the parts of China that were not locked down have a CFR of less than 1%.
Posted on 3/14/20 at 10:47 am to UnluckyTiger
If you’ve been following this thing it’s just not that surprising. That’s how bad it can get. I mean I don’t really support what they’re doing but people need to get their heads out of the sand.
This thing is no joke

The UK has always been looking for ways to take away more and more rights away from their citizens. This is the country that would arrest you if you were carrying a small screwdriver.

You are just being obtuse now.
South Korea has 8,000ish cases and 65ish deaths.

The hypocrisy here is the joke.
Person: “The testing is absolutely terrible! We aren’t catching 90% of the cases”
Same person: “Look at the CFR!!!1! 4% of us are going to die!!!”
The second quote isn’t true if the first one is. And NO ONE disputes the first one. (Not talking about the specific percentage)
