I agree. I saw CT as a way to rapid triage in the case of limiting testing
I.e. rapid flu test negative and classic appearance on CT... in an area of rapid spread it would be a safe bet to treat as COVID

Yeah, that’s the argument I made to push for a patient getting a test.
Normal SOB from a copd exacerbation, X-ray negative. Rapidly deteriorated overnight requiring intubation on steroids and abx. X-ray still negative but peripheral GGO bilaterally on CT. Influenza negative.

Not from the health department, they still refused. Labcorp finally got it available so we sent it off with them.
