Probably ordered custom tailored pants with gold filigree to replace the pedestrian ones they jizzed into thinking of the funding boosts they’ll get.

I’m not saying don’t travel if you need to for work or important shite but until it gets under control, maybe postpone vacation plans so as not to put yourself and others at risk.

Full article on the roughly 2,000 cases tested:

quote:

The figures we gathered suggest that the American response to the coronavirus and the disease it causes, COVID-19, has been shockingly sluggish, especially compared with that of other developed countries. The CDC confirmed eight days ago that the virus was in community transmission in the United States—that it was infecting Americans who had neither traveled abroad nor were in contact with others who had. In South Korea, more than 66,650 people were tested within a week of its first case of community transmission, and it quickly became able to test 10,000 people a day. The United Kingdom, which has only 115 positive cases, has so far tested 18,083 people for the virus.

quote:

Oregon, situated between the California and Washington hotspots, can test only about 40 people a day. Texas has 16 positive cases, according to media reports, but the health department’s website still lists only three cases. The Texas Tribune has reported that the state can test approximately 30 people a day.

Other states can test even fewer. Hawaii can test fewer than 20 people a day, though it could double that number in an emergency, an official told us. Iowa has supplies to test about 500 patients a day. Arkansas, though not near a current known outbreak, is able to test only four or five patients a day.

On the East Coast, testing capacity varies significantly. New York State has 22 positive cases, including several cases of community transmission in Manhattan and Brooklyn. It can test 100 to 200 people a day. Neighboring New Jersey and Connecticut have not shared any information about how many tests they have run, or about their daily testing capacity.

I'm flying to Thailand beaches next week(connect Seoul) and my girlfriend will kill me if I cancel. Not a brag because it's relevant but I'm nearly 50 and she is 32 and it be me that gets hit hard. They will be checking temperatures on the way back and 100+ gets you quarantined.

That actually worries me the most.

The ONLY reason I could maybe understand for this incompetence is that it's actually intentional as to allow a more controlled upward flow for positive infection numbers, to try and reduce panic.

Just follow flu protocol and live your life. He stands a better dying from a travel accident, than catching the coronavirus.

All this shite "closing" and "don't go to work", "shut down the schools"....yet we don't give two fricks about the flu and go about our daily lives like any other... shits getting old quick. 95% of the people had no more symptoms than they felt they had a bad cold, allergies, or a MILD case of the flu. Man we are so easily driven by media and fear. Lord help our ignorance. Yes a lot of us is gonna get it. Yes more people probably have already had it and gotten over it without even knowing what it was. Guess what......its like the flu we probably get it again next season. May have in the past and don't even know it. Yall stop and go your arse to work and school. Eat a handful of dirt build your immune system and stop whining.

JESUS.

That's crazy. The Italy outbreak is honestly by far the one most concerning to me.

You're giving a sweeping statement about what people should do and then displaying you don't know what "novel" means? Bold strategy.

To ruin how you talk about the virus:
twitter

Ever since it was brought to my attention that you can say “Covid-19” to the tune of “Come on, Eileen,” I’ve been unable to read it any other way

Me as well. Which is why she's trying to kill you with that COVID and pick up the life policy.

I kid, man. But I've told my wife numerous times she'd be far better off money-wise if she'd learn something from ID channel.
