This is the stupidest solution to the problem everyone keeps proposing

It’s not stupid. It’s unrealistic. Sorry, no nonessential work for two weeks. That better? Hospitals still have to run, as do fire and police, etc.

Realize it isn't that bad. Protect the elderly and high risk as best as possible. Recognize a few eggs will get cracked.

Look at H1N1, when that hit people we melting. Two weeks ago I was monitoring my daughter for symptoms because some asshat in BR had H1N1 and it was possible she could have it. That didn't make the news like it would have.

I'm sure you will all be contacting your church to ask for them to stop services for the next month or so.

I mean, you’re not gonna stop it now. But yes, things like this (and a lot of us could work from home, let’s be honest) could buy us time.

I get some of you are like “aw shucks, we’ll all get it, some old folks will die, shite happens”........but i’m thinking about people like my friend who has to travel to MD Anderson this weekend with lung cancer. Travel for her has suddenly become super risky.

And again, we still don’t know the long term effects on younger, healthier people. That 36 year old who died after discharge as “recovered” is definitely a case we should hear more about.

If there's spread in Nashville, I would hope that would be considered given the fact I go to a small church with a number of older couples we all care about.

Overheard the woman sitting next to me on my flight say to the guy on the other side that she had just come back from a cruise to Mexico

Hartsfield Jackson was pretty dead. Def the slowest I’ve ever seen it.

Oh and Ultra Music Festival in Miami just cancelled. Was scheduled to start on the 20th.

I wouldn’t doubt if SXSW and JazzFest announce similar in the near future.

F1 race in China is all but cancelled at this point. The Melbourne GP seems good to go, but I think they will use the results to see what they do about other races.

Vietnam was going to be a huge race this year, and it may get cancelled.

Thought it stood as postponed. They were looking at late summer.

Would make a crazy 3 week schedule no matter where they would decide to put it.

Oh, I thought you meant as if it may still happen when currently scheduled...

Yeah, I think they are looking for alternate dates.

I believe most think it is cancelled. Logistics of F1 dictate almost a year of planning so any fill in date would have to involve paddocks and team box movements that are already scheduled to be elsewhere.

Vietnamese GP is such a milestone that F1 wants to make it happen no matter what

Wow, that's a pretty big thing to cancel. Now I'm wondering if my conference in Long Beach will cancel I suppose you're just SOL for flights if that happens.
