He’s got a somber tone which is appropriate.

I'm sure jet lag is hitting him like a freight train plus the new stresses.

Trump with different info than the Seattle station that said it was a 19 yr old.

NEW: Trump says the U.S. patient who died of coronavirus was a woman in her late 50s with underlying health issues, says 4 others in the U.S. are "very ill"

This has been confirmed nowhere I can find. No info on their age. This tweet is from someone without a blue check.

Can you elaborate on this? Sincerely, I would like to know what makes our healthcare system better set up to handle this vs a single payer like Canada. I'm not trying to advocate for either, I just want to learn.

Reported by a local station. Also, the statement by the governor references a male. Trump sites a female death.

Possible that there might be 2 deaths.

Good thing they are strongly urging Americans to avoid traveling to affected places in Italy and SK.

Do you really need the government to tell you things that are common sense?

At least he’s showing up and briefing the situating. Xi would disappear for 3 weeks and then show up with in public with n95 mask.

It’s it’s ridiculous how some blame trump, while forgetting that virus originated from China and CCP took it as “nothing burger” and then swept it under the rug hoping it would go away.

Was the eye roll emoji I put at the end of my post not obvious enough to indicate I was mocking them?

We have twice the number of critical care beds per capita than Canada.

Governor's statement appears to have been updated. No longer says man. Gender neutral. I'm assuming Trump was correct in his speech?

quote:

Gov. Jay Inslee released a statement today on the death of a Washington state individual from the coronavirus (COVID-19).

"It is a sad day in our state as we learn that a Washingtonian has died from COVID-19. Our hearts go out to their family and friends. We will continue to work toward a day where no one dies from this virus.

"In partnership with the Washington State Department of Health, the Washington State Department of Emergency Management and local and community health partners, we are strengthening our preparedness and response efforts. I am committed to keeping Washingtonians healthy, safe and informed."

Have they stated why they are still classifying this as low risk to Americans? Guessing because it’s mainly killing elderly and people with prior health complications.

Because there’s no question this thing is all over the country now and people have it without any idea.

That'll definitely go a long way to being more prepared .

I don't understand the downvotes for asking a simple question but

ETA I guess that it was because I mentioned single payer. I assumed the reasoning behind it was going to be a larger topic than something as some as having twice as many critical beds.

Any info on where the deceased got the virus, i.e. was it community spread or travel related?

Hopefully I'll make it to tailgate this year. Being older and not in the greatest health.
