So I don't mean this ugly .. those deaths would be in 6 months? While I'm not trying to compare this to the flu (I realize that it's not), the numbers are close?
Also, after 5 days on the Hydroxy, what happens is patient isn't better? Speaking about a nursing home resident confirmed positive being treated with the meds & O2 in the home and not hospital.

The models don't take into account anything past august.
When it's modelling 60k deaths, it's projecting like 40k of those coming in the next couple weeks.

About the weirdest conspiracy I've read on this board is that NYC temporarily burying bodies is a "scare tactic" . . .
Can any rational person explain precisely how this is less "scary" than having a street beside the hospital lined with refrigerator trucks full of dead bodies?
If anything, you could accuse them of the exact opposite if you're looking a conspiracy: hiding the bodies so that they're not right out on the street for everyone passing by a hospital to see.

The parks in NYC are numerous and huge. There's tons of space in them where the city has various public works / large parks department compounds etc. Not a single person in NY would think they'd need to choose a spot where the kids play frisbee.
They would think that, as morbid as having to dig them up again sounds, it's a lot less obvious or "scary" than seeing a full street of refrigerated corpses in trailers beside a hospital.

Saw a cop was killed responding to a domestic yesterday. We discussed suicides going up, but domestic and the risk of cops being targeted is another issue the longer this goes on... domestics are the most dangerous calls for officers.

But isn’t their murder rate and other crimes down by like 25%? I feel as though that would be more than a wash.

No clue about the stats around cop murder going down. In reality, there are only 300 or so a year. I know domestics are most dangerous, prob followed by traffic stops.
Just pointing out another risk associated with longer lockdowns.

Ummmm.......you sure about that, boss? Because loan applications under the CARES Act for small businesses have already topped $100B. Do you assume they aren’t getting that money? Individuals are to begin getting checks as early as next week.
And just a thought.....individuals/families are always advised to have 6 months of funds available for an emergency at any time. Does this same thought not apply to businesses? When a business goes through the process of getting financial backing, is this not something that is accounted for? Honest question, because I don’t know. It just seems like it should.
