If Im pulled over for no reason, the first thing I do is ask why they pulling me over. Its my right to know.

If they come to my residence they are trespassing. Get off my lawn.

If it wasn't for a moving violation I'd call a lawyer immediately.

Depends on what they are asking and what they want ,but you can be respectful while also refusing a search or refusing to answer questions. If they would ask to search my property I would tell them that I do not consent to a search and unless they have a warrant or they are arresting me than please leave. Next, step would be to call an attorney. Now if for whatever reason a cop draws a gun on you just comply with commands and do not resist arrest or argue ,because you will not win that battle.

So by your "I pay their salary" logic....you're the a-hole they need to see about a raise then huh? If you can do the job better than the men and women who put on that uniform, by all means step up to the plate and show em how it's done, hot shot!

LOL. You are so a cop. This attitude is why the public has been turning on you. Try a little humility. Be the bigger man. Figuratively, not physically.

We do collectively pay for their salaries and services. Withholding of taxes is one of the worst things that could have happened to America.

Correct, but to tell a Police Officer or any other city employee "I pay your salary" is incorrect, an individual tax payer does not pay and individual Police Officer's salary. That's all I was saying.

I'm actually not a cop, I just hate when people say stuff like that, as if it's supposed to make a Police Officer jump at their every word. The ones who need to practice the humility are the ones who tell civil servants that.

While I agree its also not expected like it is from a LEO. As a law enforcement officer its your job to remain calm and cool under pressure even when John Q. Public is acting a fool. The average American can be hot blooded. Thats not a good trait in a LEO and is downright dangerous and a liability to his department and expensive to boot. Insurance for LE departments isnt cheap.

This is how every cop should act in pressure situations...

I'm in 100% agreement with you. Being held to a higher standard than the general public is part of being a LEO. The ones who act without due regard, or outside of policies and RBP's have no business in Law Enforcement.
