That’s an awesome Halloween decoration
Agree
His mistake was putting the controversial stuff up too early. Thank goodness the neighborhood has those 4 Karens to let everyone know when The Line has been crossed. I guarantee their husbands are home enjoying the rare silence.
Next year’s display should include 4 women with “I’d like to speak to the manager” haircuts. Maybe have that Bucktown nutria devouring them.

A lot of husbands married to Karen’s have to deal with hearing their wives complain about it.
Good or bad our country is suppose to be a free country. He has the right to put it up on his property.

I live nearby and the Karen’s have been in rare form the last three weeks on the Facebook group.
* first was the uproar that a dad was letting his kids drive a golf cart down the street one night
*This weekend the blue hairs were furious about some teenagers running into their yards shooting at each other with air soft guns. It was in the daytime but some were pissed about the trespassing.
* And the biggest news story apparently ever on social media is that the parish is using federal grant money to build and walking/biking path down the neutral ground of Bonnabel. Holy shite are people pissed off about that. Lots of hilarious ignorance on display about this one in the 27 different Facebook post in the past week.

Nothing’s been the same since they shut down the Fun Arcade and Jump For Joy.

Bucktown doesn’t have an HOA.

That’s parish code enforcement…

People who glorify Halloween are weird.

I live a couple blocks away from the display.. I haven't seen it yet. I do get on the Facebook page and yes people are pissed about the walking path and the bike path on Severn. The Severn thing is stupid I have to admit. But they had to do it to get the federal money for drainage project on Severn. I guess it's the same for Bonnabel walking path.

I don't have an issue w/devil in the church and think the people wanting it down b/c it's blasphemous are lame. It's kind of Night on Bald Mountain-ish IMO and not that big a deal.
The decapitated head the devil is holding however is too far for a public display and should be gone. I'm not a fan of the blood all over the skeletons either but it's not the end of the world.
All in all, I hate to somewhat side w/the angry ladies but I kind of agree that it needs to come down at this point in time. Not b/c the church women are offended but rather because ITS frickIN THE MIDDLE OF SEPTEMBER. What kind of person has a massive Halloween display up in their yard in September? A try hard look at me shithead that's who. Once it's October have at it creating scary land in your yard. But mid September? Really? GTFO.
This goes for all holiday decorations. If you're going to put up a ton of shite like that at least wait until the month the holiday is held to decorate. It's bad enough that stores vomit out all their holiday shite 3-5 months in advance.

I get that the Severn thing was kind of dumb and was built in a crappy way.
This path in Bonnabel will be nice though. You should see some of the silly stuff some are complains about with this path though. My favorite so far is that people who out up ladders during Mardi Gras might only out part of the ladder in the concrete and the other part in the grass this causing people to fall and hurt themselves.
Also I think some folks are convince they are cutting all the trees down
