I made the original thread. I'm content in my current role. I like my company, And I don't completely hate my job, nor do I just dred going to work everyday. I'm growing in my career, finding ways to increase my earning potential while enjoying a healthy work-life balance.
However, I will say this, I think the only way I could ever say I truly love going to work everyday was if I was a full-time high school football coach, without having to teach, or maybe if worked in the front office of an NFL team.

My neighbor is a HS football coach for a big school here in NE GA. He’s never home. Never. You hear all the stories of college coaches and how much time they spend at the office or recruiting or doing whatever, this guy is the same way (minus the recruiting). He works non-stop, everyday. As much as it would be fun, there is a price to pay by not seeing your family. Not sure it’s worth it for $100k salary.
For me, I think an Athletic Director at a high school would be a pretty badass job.

I get paid to tell women their flaws and how they can improve their looks. I enjoy it because of its perks and pays pretty good. The wife makes great money as well so we are in the top 1% of household income.

Commercial general contractor. Fun working for yourself and making great money, but stressful when I haven't won any bids and there are no projects lined up after August.....

I install and support Banking equipment. afford me travel all over the US working for a top 3 Banking company

I fly airplanes commercially and love going to work. Would be even better without passengers but the company has to make money.
