Has a study been done yet.
Well, hydraulic studies are required for highway projects. So they'd damn well better hope so.

Why we are on the subject. I had the privilege of driving that piece of shite this weekend.

One thing I noticed. People in the right lane going 45. 18 wheelers in the center that think they are on the nascar circuit. Place was fricked.

I saw they've added a bunch of drains in the left lane on 12 East.

In general, subsequent remedial conduct may not be proffered in civil cases in order to prove negligence.

It is somewhat difficult to get remedial conduct into evidence since there is a strong public policy argument to avoid deterring individuals from making improvements or repairs after an accident.

While many entities and attorneys advising them avoid remedial conduct a properly planned defense can all but assure those are never an issue in a civil case. That said while it is fairly easy to avoid and there are lots of journal articles about remedial action admissibility I have seen lots of what I considered good defense attorneys botch their evidentiary presentation and open the door to allow lack of remedial action into evidence.

The long and short of it from my POV is fix it and have good counsel.

frick it, I will give an upvote for that.

do peoeple not realize that if there was no I-12 barrier twice as many people would have flooded than what did.

It's my understanding that the wall was like that to prevent catastrophic flooding in the largely populated areas of the southern part of the parish.

Then, as developers do, they started building north of the interstate, thus negating the purpose of the wall.

The wall did exactly what it was designed to do.

While I know every state has its issues, Louisiana has to be one of the worst when it comes to infrastructure. And if everyone waits for the politicians to do anything on their own, they will just keep avoiding it.

The people are the ones who avoid infrastructure.

The people are the ones who voted down a great gas tax to fix infrastructure.
