If he actually donated to one of the many organizations working in communities trying to help people, then that's great. Clicking on a few of the links with celebrity matches (like Steph Curry), it does seem like many of those organizations are doing that. So from what I can tell, props to Kaepernick for actually contributing to positive change rather than just paying lip service by doing the easy part, pointing out problems.
Just imagine if he started with this pledge first, and didn't resort to some ridiculous statements.
