Today it's been one year since I last smoked a cigarette! I smoked a pack per day for 30 years.
If I can do it, you can do it!
First, I had to really want to do it. Then told my doctor about my desire to quit, and got a prescription for a popular "stop smoking" medicine. Took medicine as directed, and never looked back!
So happy to be done with that nasty habit.

I really want to have a smartass response to this, but congratulations. I’ve tried to get my mom to stop smoking for years and she insists it’s impossible. Dilly Dilly, baw!

Same with my mother until she ended up in the hospital with flu complications. The Dr. asked her if she smoked and she said yes. The Dr. said "not anymore, you don't." That was nearly three years ago and she hasn't smoked since.
Congratulations, OP.

ALL smokers eventually stop smoking...one way or another.

Chin up! You can do it.
Have saved nearly $2,000 this year, and I'm not out of breath after 30 seconds of physical exertion.
It's worth it, man.

It's been over 18 months for me. It's not that big of a deal and the people who over hype it are just looking for attention. If you want to quit something then quit. If not, then don't.

Congrats!
You've probably extended your life by years and greatly improved the quality of those years. I hope your family are as psyched as you are.
