Wife and I spent a few days in New Orleans this week. The condition of the streets and roads in and around the Superdome and the French Quarter are really bad. I don’t mean just New Orleans bad....I mean epically bad! Where does the tax money go?

To fixing the streets where the tourists don't go.

Based on my exposure to this board, I was under the impression there weren’t serviceable roads anywhere in the entire state of Louisiana.

Statue removal doesn't change everything overnight. You need to check your privilege at the door.

He needs to drive down Bellaire Drive north of Veterans if he wants to see the REALLY GOOD roads. Those are all Cement and are in excellent condition. PS increase your insurance on the rental car.

Napoleon and St Charles are both fine, which is 90% of my daily commute, so who gives a shite about the rest of them?

Those are actually pristine streets compared to the rest of the city.

I took a friend past his former home on Urquhart Steet not long ago and was especially appalled at the horrible conditions down there by the cemeteries.

Lakeview streets have to be the worse. If i’m going to a friend house for dinner or to one of the restaurants in the area I’m taking an Uber 9/10 of the times. I live uptown and they’re bad but not lakeview bad.
