Chinese explorer Zheng's ship vs Christopher Columbus' (they existed at the same time)
When China Ruled the Seas is a nice view on Amazon Video.
China sailed to & traded with Africa, Middle East , Red Sea, etc.....but never made an attempt to colonialize these regions like lesser European powers. Never attempted to subjugate its neighbor ( India) like Britain. Outside of its immediate borders( Tibet) or with groups like the Mongols & Manchurians who initially invaded /ruled China they have had little interest in global expansion like Europeans.

Because the Chinese were racist elitists on a level incomparable to any known western civilization. Marco Polo doesn't even get to put a foot on their soil, if the Khan had not pacified China.
And also, because they spent their entire lives in life or death conflicts with each other. . .not to mention the Steppe hordes that sprung up like clockwork.
Euros experienced more and longer stretches of peace, without any real existential threats, which facilitated colonization and more exploration.

5 all day. Make a litter of future NFL linemen to pay the bills in 20-25 years.

I don’t know what’s more impressive, that Zheng’s ship was so big or that Columbus hopped into a 90 foot wooden boat and sailed off to the edge of the world

I got 15 downvotes for post an image that scales planes to show how big they all are next to each other.
You people are morons.

Afaik serious scholarly evaluation puts Zheng's ship around 250-300 feet rather than 600.

5 only. 2, 3, and 4 look underage. Hell no to #1. I’m 6’ and have only dated one other taller than me, and she was 6’1 and at times sure heels. That tall one could wrap those legs around me anytime

It really is amazing how small the Nina, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria were.

Its insane. I forget the exact prices but when I was in college I remember going get my books and there was a certain type of pen I liked to take notes with. Since I was at the book store I figured I might as well pick them up there.. I saw the price and I thought it was a mistake.. Like maybe they were put under the wrong price tag then I noticed the prices on the other pens, other items.
When I went check out I told the girl checking me out that their prices were as high as giraffe pussy and she told me in a quiet voice "I wouldn't buy anything here unless I absolutely needed it and this was the only place it is available".

Episode 8 of the 2020 season of "Curse of Oak Island" they had a numismatist (coin expert) date a Chinese coin found on the island as made between 400BC to 900AD. That places Chinese on the East Coast of North America (Oak Island is slightly NE of Maine) 1,100 years ago or more.

All taken from one of those slideshow joints
Much better without the 20-page slideshow with pop-ups on every page. This should be your schtick. Take one for the OT team.
Here’s another site that can reduce the tedium of sites with lists that require you to click page by page,
LINK https://deslide.clusterfake.net/
Example
Before
Here is a typical page by page list, this one is expensive cars
LINK https://www.msn.com.... the-most-expensive-cars-in-the-world/
After
now using the deslide site feature look at the same site:
LINK https://deslide.clusterfake. -most-expensive-cars-in-the-world
The site currently works on these sites, or tries to:
LINK https://deslide. Desliding of slideshows from the following 612 sites might(*) work
