Company going out of its way to hire women

Good morning fellow OT'ers
While this tends to be a controversial topic in terms of the entire population but has anyone's employer place extraordinary emphasis on hiring women in non-traditional roles?
My company (at this point everyone knows who I work for) has not only set aside an extra budget to give women raises exclusively (on top of the already included yearly merit) in our company, but now seem to hire women 8 out of 10 times for roles that men have essentially dominated. (Research and Development, Delivery in Field, Engineering, etc.)
A lot of the guys I work with are trying to see the value in this (as am I), but are also a little frustrated because it seems like unless were born a different gender, there's now some artificial ceiling in place until there is enough/equal representation statistically (my company actually has stated this) in all levels, including management.
Have yall seen the same in your place of employment?

Im not against them hiring women. I even mentioned that I am looking at the value of it.
My main discourse is I think they are over correcting.

No, because I’m not looking for a reason to bitch about something.

You are either being obtuse or dishonest about the fact that for a very long time Engineering was by far populated by men more than women.
You cant hire women if they never applied.

I'd be ok with this if women didn't have to disappear for 4 months to have baby, want to work 20 hours a week and stay at home more-but complain they don't make the same amount of money. I guess I don't understand the real world. When a woman accomplishes the same thing as a guy they should get paid the same. If she's gone for several months or cuts back hours to stay home with the kids they shouldn't expect the same pay.

I wouldn't say this is exclusive to your company.
This is the universal work of the liberal idiots in HR. They are more interested in promoting some stupid agenda of diversity and inclusion than they are maintaining a healthy and productive work environment.
At my dad's company, HR mandated that my dad hire a Hispanic woman versus a white man whom he deemed to be much more qualified. The Hispanic woman ended up being terrible and wound up fired 6 months later. All of those resources wasted in the name of "diversity."

You think that's bad?
You should try working at the San Francisco Police Department.

Dude, it's time you left Janitrol. No one can compete with women in upper management positions when it comes to the custodial arts.
