Companies will find a lot of fat to cut with virus changing up things.

Companies will be looking for ways to utilize this as a fresh look at their labor load and find wasted money in their payroll. They are forced to adjust hours (people been saying for years they want US to mimic other models of less hours). Work from home (maybe finding out contract labor or outsourcing will produce better performance). Ways to get work done without traditional benefit package but paying more to contract people to produce (people spend countless hours on internet at work). If they work from home they can get it done faster and have more free time. I know companies are trying to find some silver lining in this mess we have been handed. Flame away but I suggest that people be proactive in proposing something new if this "shutdown" lasts longer than expected. What say you?

Between Katrina and then the recession, our business in distribution in the construction industry has already trimmed all of the fat. We do more with considerably less employees than we used to have. Only downside is we are stretched super thin whenever anyone goes out of town or gets sick. 2 or 3 people being out for an extended period of time would cause serious customer service issues.

Companies will realize how much costs can be saved by doing more via email, videoconference etc.
A lot of courts are dispensing with oral arguments or doing them via phone. No reason this couldn’t have already been the case.

It's because I proposed diff ideas, not just one theme. I actually do some consulting. Yes I've said some words, but you haven't said anything of value. I asked a question and threw out a few things people have discussed thru the years. Why don't you add some value?

I've had one (non essential) employee call me today to see how things were looking. They know they can be replaced before I know at times and get worried.
