Save your money! However, don't save all of it. Set some aside for fun stuff... Like drinking.

-Build a solid and strong foundation (literally with your house and figuratively with your family) and when the storms come (and they will come) you will make it through to the other side
- Like Nike so simply put it, "Just Do It." There were many times that action was required to precede motivation...sometimes it was as simple as putting one foot in front of the other no matter what.
-You can pray all damn day long, but if you don't ever peel your arse outta bed or get off the proverbial couch, there is very little God can do to help you.
-It is impossible to truly be in Faith and fear at the same time.
If possible, ask your Dad to take a weekend retreat with you, preferably somewhere out in the wilderness or on the water... initiate an honest and very possibly uncomfortable dialogue with him...ask him to tell you his story, share with him what it was like growing up in his home and confront him on where he could have done better...go down into your wounds together and clean all the shite out that has amassed over the decades so that you can finally look each other in the eye as men, as equals free from guilt, shame, and resentment...and tell him that you Love him. If/when fathers and sons pass that on for a few generations, the world will no doubt me a better place.
