Watching sporting events, it also seems like more people in states out west still wear mask. I think it was the BYU game last week.. And when they showed the crowd I was surprised by the number of people wearing one.

alcohol weed and amphetamines. his lawyer said the amphetamines were his adhd medicine. the cops noted during the stop that he had an empty pill bottle on his seat.

I don't think there is nothing that this can show that can justify him being killed.

Glass told officers with his hands up that he didn’t feel safe getting out of the car
So he didn't comply when the officers were on site to save him?

And they're to assume he's just a standard safe citizen in the middle of nowhere and not crazy high and dangerous?

Just fricking comply you moron

I saw that too. Then they did a spot for the cougar tail, and showed about 10 or so people passing one around eating after each other.

he was talking about seeing shite and killing people on the phone with 911. So the cops had already been warned that he was out of it. Then when they get there he is acting crazy and when the cop approaches the car he picks up a rock that was on his lap and exposes a knife he had on his lap. He asked to throw the knife out the car and the cop told him not to touch it and just get out. Then he rolls up his window. then the cops including others that arrived begged and pleaded with the dude for an hour offering all kind of shite to come out of the car. Then they decide to get him out. They shoot him with nonlethal rounds, hit him with a tazer, and he still wont drop the knife or get out of the car and tried to stab the cop thru the window which got him shot. How anybody thinks the cops murdered this guy is crazy to me.

More proof, drugs are bad.

I want to get mad at cops, but that kid makes it hard.

Should the cops have killed him, probably not.

Is the world a better place without the druggie,

Thx to everyone for answering on the toxicology report

Aside from mental illness, he had no business using drugs recreationally

It got him killed

Nobody should lose their job over this, but I imagine the shooter should have some regrets

You know how everyone laughed when the Defund the Police stuff tried to get psychologists-social workers to respond? This is the stuff they're referencing. Dude was clearly a little off but no danger to anyone. The last thing he needed was LEO escalating a situation to fulfill their blood lust.

I don't agree that cops in general have a "blood lust."

This guy pretty clearly had a significant mental issue.

I don't think we need to tailor policy to handle scenarios where a mentally ill person, calls out police, refuses to comply with basic commands, decides to pick up a weapon, and refuses to drop it.

I realize you are a soft spot for mental illness, but this guy committed suicide by cop, and probably intended to do so from the start.
