I was shocked to hear how shitty SF was. I've only been to San Diego once. My friend just got back from a California family trip to Disney and all over. Made a couple days in SF. They paid near $300 a night for a hotel and dealt with homeless the entire time. Drunk singing in the alley at all hours.

Probably depends on where you go, any major city will have this.

But overall, SF is a very nice city. Ghirardelli Square, even at that time of evening, is not where one would expect this to happen. We visited SF a few years ago, and walked around this area, and others in the general vicinity around that time of night and felt perfectly safe.

Of course. His family was shocked though. He's travelled thee many times for work, so he knew. His family did not, and I did not. Have to spend near $500 a night to have the riff-raff shoo-Ed away.

It doesn't bug me, but any male over the age of 15 that engages in this activity probably has a low T count.

You don't have to spend $500 a night you just have to know how to book things. I stayed at a pretty nice hotel in Union Square a few weekends ago for $130 a night with free parking.

Saw some homeless people, no more than walking around the French Quarter, and they were far less annoying. None of them tried to tell me where I got my shoes. I was walking around at 1 or 2 in the morning and never felt unsafe.

Yeah nothing like the good old days of gaming where you sat in front of your tv, tethered to it by a cord, and made a fake plummer jump over fake barrels thrown by a fake gorilla to save a fake princess.

Or if you're more of a purist and like board games and enjoy spending fake money to buy fake streets where you can build fake hotels.

But this is a sports forum so maybe you're more into taking a ball and trying to get it across a fake made up barrier.

Not saying it's a cesspool or anything. He's been many times and loves the city. I was just unaware. Of course it's known for hippies and Alcatraz.
