I sprayed a cicada once and it let out what sounded like a horrific scream.
I'm permanently scarred.

We all know where this ends...with Josh Brolin being killed in the subway tunnels of New York.

I got to say I was never a cat person. But since we’ve gotten one I haven’t had to call the bug man since. We’ve had one water bug get by our cat in the last 2.5 years, other than that haven’t seen a single bug. We never have seen cockroaches but did get the occasional water bug and had issues with moths. Since we got a cat, don’t have shite...........but scratched up door trim

Devil's horse
AKA the Eastern Lubber Grasshopper, known in Louisiana as the Devil's horse.
Pretty sure they keep their black and red juvenile coloring as adults here in LA, but molt into a more orange-yellow color elsewhere.

Yep. The shed at my old house had roaches that I swear were resistant to .22LR.

Used to tie those to bottle rockets at the camp in Barataria. Those frickers still didn't die.

Demon kills the shite out of them.

I had an infestation in an apartment that they kept putting off. Neighbor was apparently a hoarder and it got out of hand. They kicked them out and the roaches came to my fricking place.
I ended up leaving sugar traps around. It was gross as frick but it was very effective. I had a cup full of about 50 and took it to the office and put it on the property managers desk and said this is in my fricking apartment, fix it. Now. I guess the shock worked because they came and took care of it two days later. Was horrifying.

The regular ole American cockroach a homeowner can take care of. Those smaller German ones you pretty much need a bug man, or spend good money yourself trying to get rid of them, or burn the house down. Bug man coming out once a month and spraying isn’t gonna get rid of German roaches, only prevent them from moving in, in the first place.

Is there any structure besides a grass hut that isn't racist.
All the brick homes are a symbol of "White Privilege".
Lets tare them down, starting with Hollywood.

Roaches are just a fact of life. You will always have them. Even if you don't see them, they are there. Hiding. Waiting. Plotting.

Cockroaches are the necessary evil. In my opinion, they are the oldest population on our planet and have survived for billions of years. A good tool to fight with them is permethrin, but As I remember it right, permethrin is dangerous for dogs and cats. Before using any antiinsect sprays, I suggest anyone consult with the pest company about the danger to you and your kids/pets(if you have one). Usually, I approach this company with any insect problem LINK
