Admittedly I didn't do any due diligence. Hell until I got into the voting booth, I didn't know it was on the ballot. Once in the booth, I basically saw "Would you like to help seniors...." and figured that yes it was a good thing to help seniors live independently or help give some reprieve to their caretakers. Now, it is by far the DUMBEST I have ever voted in my life. I 100% guarantee that if this was voted on again, it wouldn't even be close. Dytarsha would still ONLY make $105k a year.

She should be fired just for her name.

It is such a slush fund it's not even funny. How no agency has audited/arrested the entire staff is mindblowing. I am thinking that Landry is getting paid off (with our tax dollars mind you) out of the milage to NOT prosecute. As Kibs would say, "LITERALLY" if it wasn't for their skin color, they would already be in jail.

I guaranf*ckingtee you that if a LEGIT audit was done over there, they would find tons of illegal stuff going on. The reason a legit audit isn't done on an obvious place where one should be done is when the big connections run deep and people don't want things to come back on them, so they do what they do to stop it from happening.

Many people voted for this tax hoping it would actually help seniors. The blame for this mess lies with Frieberg and the Metro Council. They didn’t have to give the COA the entire millage amount. They could’ve scaled it back due to their concerns of Tarsha and her gang’s past misuse of funds, but instead they awarded the full amount. Seriously, how stupid can these people be?

The entire parish is paying for this tax.

It will be glorious to watch Frieberg get CRUSHED when she tries (if she tries after all this) for re-election. I don't know but I wish there could be a re-vote, etc that voters could defund this thing immediately instead of years down the road.

That jack in the box coke cup on the table in a public board meeting screams professionalism.

I don't understand how you can have metro council members on the board when the COA says they will allow themselves to be loosely regulated by the metro council. Donna Collins-Lewis is already on the COA board.

They have to renew the millage once a year, so technically, they could vote against the enactment of the millage for 2019.

Just curious, do any white people work at the EBRCOA? I seem to recall rumors that Tarsha ran them all off.

He is awesome.
Lee Zurik is great in New Orleans. He did an investigation on a family-run non-profit that was basically spending/stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars on themselves. They were indicted about a year later and the place was shut down.

Yeah, the important positions are held by whitey. Attorney, treasurer, chair of the board. The rest of the upper echelon folks are there for the paycheck and the title.

Absolutely not. I am not going find it but there is a photo from the EBRCOA where they all are wearing black t-shirts doing the black panther fist in the air.
