The biggest frauds in Baton Rouge work in 501c3's that benefit the elderly, special needs, and underprivileged. They're all in on the game and the only ones that get caught are the ones that get ratted out.

Every 501c3 in this town that operates in that capacity needs to be audited.

At what point does the state AG’s office get involved in all this shite?

I still remember that millage meeting, how they bussed in all these seniors conveniently wearing matching tshirts eating homemade brown bag lunches and holding professionally made signs and only a handful of councilmembers questioned where the funds for these things came from. Then magically "donors" rose out of the woodwork.

The entire parish is paying for this tax.

I don't think there is any point specifically specified bay any laws or regulations, but I do see a trend that it usually happens fairly soon after Nak gets involved.

Imagine if we could have a competent parish president and mayors from Central, Zachary, Baker, St. George and just let BR wallow in it's misery.

I know Lousiana politics can be corrupt but how is this allowed? Is there nobody that doesn’t want to call this shite out? They are stealing tax money for each other and aren’t even trying to hide it. A 20k salary increase for a council member that didn’t even do shite before it

It’s such a blatant “frick you” to citizens that it blows my mind

You would think. And I fully support everything Nak has done to uncover all of this. But nothing will be done until they're removed from office and a full audit can be performed unbiasedly.

Here's the thing, the people that voted for the tax and SWB don't give a shite. It's why so many black politicians end up in jail for stealing and corruption, they know their constituents aren't watching/don't care

They're not really breaking any laws. It's just a blatant waste of money that never should have been put in their hands in the first place. Don't worry, though. They can't help themselves and they'll get caught eventually.

Any Low Income Summit held in Baton Rouge has a fleet of brand new import cars parked outside, owned by the Directors of these Low Income "charitable" groups.
