Don’t know about Louisiana but I did see a picture of a black panther that was captured on a game camera up on straight mountain in north Alabama a few years ago.

I was alway told Panthers, Jaguar, Leopards and Mountain Lions were the same animal, just different coats.

Possible. Course it would have had to have been about the same height as a Great Dane. I say that because the guy who got the pic took another pic of his Great Dane standing in the same exact spot next to the feeder and it was the same size.
