CNN producer John Griffin pleads guilty to child sex crime

John Griffin, a former senior producer for CNN who was accused of child sex crimes, pleaded guilty in federal court after being charged a year ago, according to the Associated Press.
The federal government dropped two of the three charges against Griffin as part of the agreement. According to the AP, he "must pay full restitution to the victims, an amount which will be determined by the court" and "has agreed to forfeit a Tesla vehicle, and electronic items and to donate half of the proceeds from the sale of his Vermont home and the upcoming sale of a Mercedes vehicle into the court registry."
Griffin, 45, faces a minium of 10 years to life in prison and a fine up to $250,000. His sentencing is scheduled for March 2023.

Our government prosecutors suck arse. No way this plea agreement should throw out 2 of the 3 charges. If you read what evidence was collected about him -- his own text messages and other evidence -- he is a truly sick individual and should never be out in public.

Apparently the guy faces 10 years to life. He has to sells his cars (2, unsure how many he owns) and his home (again unsure how many he owns), and the feds don't play with excessive good time, even if he got the minimum. At sentencing, judges absolutely note the benefit of having charges dropped.
This dude is not out of woods by any means, and this does not look like an abnormal plea at all. Now, if the judge gives (if he can) some sort of full probation, that's a judge problem.
