I buy 1/2 a cow every year from a guy that raises them in one town over. Better than anything at any store and it comes to average out around $8/lb

When you say “adults, do you mean the same people who think cow farts are killing the planet? Those adults?

Haven't bought beef from the store in about 3 years now. We raise our own cattle (about 65-70 head). Mom sells it to me for $4.00 lbs and that includes processing and her bringing it to my house. I know most people don't have this kind of set up but it's helped keep my grocery bill low.

Couldn't imagine paying grocery store pricing for subpar quality

The price of feed is low. That has absolutely nothing to do with it. Politics has nothing to do with it. Prolonged drought forced a contraction of the cattle cycle. It’s a multi-year cycle and eventually herds will be record highs and the price of US beef will drop. Australia is on the other end of the cycle and exporting record amounts of beef.

Look at my job and location, I know what I’m talking about.

This is happened when leftist retards fight to reduce herd sizes because cow farts lead to global warming. These people have no concept of supply and demand

Did this actually happen? Was there a piece of legislation enacted which reduced herd sizes?

Yes. My coffee was cheaper, Texas wasn't getting colder, and there was never a WNBA strike.

Those are the shite eggs.
It's not just "virtue signalling" to get pasture raised eggs, they just are better for you and taste better.

I should have said corn prices are low and have nothing to do with it. The lack of forage and grazing land are key reasons.

The local butcher I like to get my round steaks, pork steaks and chicken from will run specials on their porterhouse steaks for $7.99/lb. It's not prime, but they sell USDA Angus beef. They eat pretty damn good.

I just bought a Prime NY Strip last night for $14.99/lb. Seems pretty damn good to me.

I usually buy the whole slab and cut them myself. The last time I bought a slab of Prime N.Y. Strip it was $11.99 a lb. and wound up getting 14 steaks right at 1 1/2 inches thick out of it. I picked that up at Zuppardo's last month.
