Yesterday made 10 years since I was in a VERY bad car accident. Dad was bringing me to my last baseball game of the season and I was bending down tying my cleats. Some a-hole ran a stop sign and slammed into my door, then got hit into the on coming lane head on by another vehicle doing about 35-40. Scariest moment of my life when I came too covered in blood and glass. Had to have immediate brain surgery. The first day I remember in the hospital, they moved me to the edge of the bed and I had no idea how to move my legs. I just sat back and had no idea if I'd ever walk again. Luckily it was just something I had to reprogram my body to do. Still have huge scar that goes from the center of my forehead along my hairline to my temple.(28 staples) Hospital for a week and a half or 2 weeks, then bed rest 2.5-3 months.

A woman died at that same intersection a week after my accident. It's now a 4-way, thank god.

Struck by car going over 100mph

Guy tripping on acid had a gun pointed at me and a machete in other hand.

Another guy pulled a knife on me.

Rode with an idiot.

It was raining and he decided to see how fast he could take a turn. We hit a cable support for an electrical pole. Friends head went through a window.

Just stupid. Never rode or hung out with that dumbass again.

You're gonna have to explain yourself a little more on this one.

They had just bumped the speed that trains could travel through cities to 45 I think. I went to pick up our intramural basketball shirts from a place that was out towards Opelika. It was an old crossing with a bunch of brush right near the crossing and a kid had actually been hit at that same place the week before and died. I kept edging out to see around the brush and by the time i could see the train coming I was on the edge of the tracks and the train was coming through at 45 and about 30 feet from me, hadn't blown his horn or anything and couldn't hear it. Went to throw it in reverse and hit park to start and got it in and just gassed the frick out of it. backed out and the train missed me by a couple feet.

Took a ten strip one afternoon in college. After the acid kicked in I decided to ride my bike to the store for a refreshing beverage. I was crossing the street in front of an apartment and barelled out infront of a SUV. He slammed on his brakes, with tires screeching his bumper came to rest gently on my leg without knocking me over. He proceeded to scream at me. Like super angry, half-way hanging out the window yelling at me. The only emotion I had was the pure joy of cheating death, so naturally I was smiling as I thought of the greater cosmic purpose of my life within the fabric of the universe.
Getting angrier, He exits his vehicle and walks toward me. I snap out of it and try and split as quickly as I could. My foot slipped on the pedal and it hit my shin. Crushing pain coursed through my body and I let out a "fuuuuuuck!" Which stopped the dude before he could get to me. I explained that I was tripping, as best as I could since I could barely form coherent sentences. He told me to get out of the way and got back in his SUV and left.
I proceeded to carefully navigate my way through the side streets of Tuscaloosa until I made it to the store and got my long sought after Hawaiian Punch. I locked my bike to the fence beside the store and decided a walk home was the safer bet. I returned the next day to get my bike and it had been stolen, because I apparently forgot to lock the damn chain.

Ahhhh poor you.

The thread is asking what is the closest people have been to death. For him, it was having a gun in his stomach by someone who robbed him. At that time, I doubt he is thinking "oh shite, is this guy going to shoot me? Oh wait PJ had 14 operations so everything is cool"..

And since you tend to exaggerate, I am guessing you probably only had 6 or 7 operations.

I've been shot 3 times and been close to a couple of IEDs overseas but they don't creep me out as much as a time in high school.

A couple friends came by our house to pick me up and go somewhere but my mom said I couldn't go for some reason. Not 10 minutes later after they left, the car flipped on a country road and killed them both. I still think about that shite.

You dropped 10 hits of acid at one time? If that's what you meant then there is no way that acid was that good unless you were doing it constantly and had to take that much.
