I refuse to watch the Browns play. Of course, my job is much easier as I couldn't care less what happens to the Browns, or Cleveland in general. Still, I'll do my part.

The OT constitution must start with the 2nd amendment. Talk about guns and it's your right to have whatever you want, mention free speech and all of a sudden the NFL should take away their players rights. It's mind blowing how short sighted some of you are.

This is one of the worst posts in this thread. Some folks have no idea what the constitution really is.

I don't know why anyone gets upset about people kneeling during the anthem. It doesn't harm you or yours in any way except your feels and this website is supposed to be in the reals over feels group.

I don't get upset about it and I don't get upset when the kneeler gets fired for costing his boss money. I like freedom on all fronts.

That's all any of this is about. It's faux outrage to gain attention.

1. I'd imagine the average scientist makes more than the average player in their scientist and football careers.

I imagine the average construction worker has more assets in 5 years than the average guy in the NFL. Athletes are notoriously terrible with money.

And that very incorrect sentiment is typically encased in paragraph oozing with pseudo-intellectual arrogance.

Sure. That's all fine. I just find all the faux outrage generated on this website to be silly.

That's not how any of this works.

The average football player only has to work two seasons to blow out the lifetime earnings of an average scientist, possibly only one depending on how you define "scientist."

The only difference is that as someone else meationed, one party is likely to far more intelligently manage their assets than the other.

Why do people think football players are overpaid? The owners have a right to pay them less if they don't think the players are worth what they offer.
Yes, yes, they do.

That has absolutely no effect on the fact that they are overpaid.

The owners are stupid by offering too much and overpaying. Having a right to do something does not mean someone should/has to do it.
