Was at a place on Burbank not far from campus today. Clerk had same stale arse blue dishwashing gloves on from the couple in front of me and to the man behind me.

I'm not pissed off at people having gatherings of 8 to 10 or those bot wearing masks (stopped wearing mine last week as a symbol of OT solidarity).

I am pissed at people who think they are practicing safe habits and are merely doing the opposite. Stop the frickin madness. Buy a huge supply of latex gloves and throw away each pair after each transaction or just man up with the hand sanitizer.

And this place had a "shield" between clerk and customer but of course the debit/credit recorder had no protection.

Open this country back up in spite of stupid people.

Only people who would normally wear gloves for their job ie cooks, servers, medical workers should still be wearing gloves.

His hands were protected

Kind of like the “sandwich artist” at subway wearing gloves, wiping his hair, his but and his nose then adding pickles to your foot long, only thing he did was made sure his hands won’t smell like pickles

Did you ever think that maybe they weren’t trying to protect you, but trying to protect themselves FROM you?

The gloves protect the clerk, not everyone else.

That's what their gloves are for.

Why downvote me? JBE said so today as well and it’s not often I agree with him.

Gloves in a retail/office/foodservice environment are and always have been for perception. They do absolutely nothing.

I dont care if she is barehanded and trying to give me an Indian burn during the transaction.

Shes not being any safer than if I went into OLOL and started kissing random people.

The gloves are for their protection not yours.

Well she will have Corona on her gloves while you will have it on your lips.

But yeah, she's definitely in just as much danger fo sho.

Not entirely true. They help remind the wearer not to touch their face.
