you really should make those decisions yourself - it’s easier on the family

I don't want my family spending all that money on funeral expenses. I see no reason why families can't just bury and/or cremate their loved ones in the yard. Funeral homes and cemeteries are a racket. Think about it. There are only so many years the last person who will remember you will be alive and want to visit. Why pay $20-$30K for a hole in the ground and a headstone?

They can decide whichever is easier for them. Sounds like I would be making their life easier

Unless you’re like 60+ you’ll be buried in a mass grave at the fema camp like everybody else

This is me. I don’t care where you bury me, I won’t know. Just put me wherever my loved ones want me that’s convenient if they feel like visiting my grave. After a generation it’ll be forgotten about anyways so whatever

Maybe have your ashes dumped in the Miss. River for equal interment.

We'll both be cremated. Those alive can spread me wherever they see fit that makes them happy. No need to be buried next to my wife. If there's an afterlife, hopefully we'll find each other there. If there is no afterlife, I won't know the difference.

I’m planning on dying alone in the wilderness and having wildlife eat me.

In a slightly related note, I’ve been after my son to make his desire explicit he is 23 in spec ops and with his mom and me being divorced I want his wishes carried out but his mom is going to do some stupid shite if he’s KIA.

Creamated and placed on my son’s grave in the family graveyard. My wife wants to do the same. We lost our son so suddenly at age 3 we obviously did not have plans for his final laying spot so we used my mom’s place. We lost my little brother at age 22 and it was the same with him. It disturbed the family layout of the plots. The sort of things families don’t usually think about.

man redstick, I am so sorry about you and your wife's loss. I cannot imagine living through that.

on topic- If I were you, I'd discuss this with your wife and see how she feels.
