City workers in the CBD throw away homeless mans Christmas tree

For the last three weeks, a homeless man who goes by the name of John has been living under the Pontchartrain Expressway. A driver gave John $100. John said he used part of the money to buy a Christmas tree and decorations for his extended family living on the streets.
“It's a Christmas tree, fully decorated. It ain't past the 25th. Anybody with common sense would know it's not trash,” John said. “My purpose was to bring hope, restore hope and smiles.”

And anyone who leaves a fully decorated Christmas tree under an overpass would know that is the definition of trash.

And that is why he's poor and homeless. He gets $100 and decides to spend it on a tree and ornaments. I have no sympathy for these people.

Am I supposed to feel sorry for a homeless guy that instead of feeding his "family" and himself, spent money on a damn Christmas tree?

I almost hit that idiot coming down the St.Charles ramp this morning. Dumb frick was standing in the turn lane. He yelled for me to help him out. fricking scammer. I am sure there will be idiots bringing him a new tree and cash for the holidays. Guy just got set for the holidays.
