20 minutes north of new Orleans puts you at mile marker 20 of the Causeway. Very little green space there, liar

Open water is technically wilderness, right?

I'm guessing he meant go in the direction of Bayou Sauvage National Wildlife Refuge.

I can't wait to have a nice golf course that's actually in the city. Audubon' s course is fun but being so short it gets crammed easily. Lakewood and TPC are nice but it's a hassle driving all the way out there to play those. I can't see how this course won't make money because the location is perfect. Moving the PGA tourny here will be the next major hurdle to get through

Another speaker said, “I don't feel like making a golf course is the best way to serve the public. The city needs wilderness space and City Park is the only place that has it.”

She makes a point; where else would the homeless go, where else could criminals hide, and what better place for prostitutes, druggies, etc?

Every urban area needs a wilderness, right?

Screw golf, that needs to be played in a park.

Tiger ruined his career and golf's popularity by being a cheating d-bag. How is Elin a bitch? For expecting her husband not to cheat? Tiger is a characterless idiot and deserves the loss of income and popularity that he has experienced.

Yeah golf isnt exactly a booming business these days. Lots of places are struggling.

It's the mediocre courses that are struggling. The high-end public/semi-private courses are doing well...especially ones designed by Reese Jones.

I'd love to see if there's been a Reese Jones designed course that has closed since 2005...willing to bet that the answer is no.

Elin is your common gold digger. Started as a nanny for a golfer, married Tiger, got divorced and started fricking a billionaire. She knows the game

Not at all...but the beliefs of some of you on here not surprising given the direction our country has taken. It's somehow the woman's fault when a man cheats? You can white-wash it all you want, but Tiger is the cause of his problems.

This generation of Americans will be the worst ever...yall enjoy your Starbucks and SUVs and economic indifference. It will bite you in the arse in the years to come.

Maybe so...but he said 'I Do' to said gold-digger. And then proceeded to forsake his vows and cheat with other women. Her being a gold-digger, as you say, make this okay?

No one said that.

Yea, Elin's very public and technically illegal reactions had absolutely nothing to do with it.

Oh good, I was worried about whether I needed to take anything you say seriously. Glad to see I don't.

I was and am against the golf course, but this is false. The gold coruse rehab has been in the works since the first master plan after Katrina. Everyone has known it was coming for a long time. Not sure why some people are just now starting to bitch.
