I think Baton Rouge-Lafayette should be added to this list.

This past weekend I was in the Lafayette area and I was thinking about how there is only about 55 miles between the Baton Rouge area and the Lafayette area, yet it is almost two completely different worlds.

The accents are a lot different and there are people in the Lafayette area who still speaks cajun french (not many people in the Baton Rouge area speaks cajun french as their primary language. You might meet someone who use to speak it as a child, depending on where they grew up, but they are not speaking it on a regular basis).

Tallahassee -Jacksonville

Austin-San Antonio (or anywhere else in Texas)

Definitely used to be way different, but Oakland has really changed in the last couple of decades. It's just SF-lite at this point.

A fairly similar phenomenon still exists in the Seattle area with Tacoma being the Oakland to Seattle's San Francisco.

Tacoma still feels distinct from Seattle, but less and less, as more people flee Seattle rents and drive up the COL of Tacoma. Tacoma actually entered the list of fastest growing cities (#10) this year.

I was going to say Mobile and Fairhope.

Mobile has some good and decent areas. And the demographics are not as polar opposite when comparing Fairhope and Prichard.

Tallahassee and Jax are about 4 hours apart. Not that close.

All of my schooling was in Shreveport, and I didn't hang out with bossier people unless they were classmates.

I could see that, but I've honestly never seen any Shreveport people hating on Bossier or any blatant elitist attitude...not to say it does not happen. The only thing I've ever heard is Bossier people... so glad I don't live in Shreveport... Shreveport is so trashy... it's so much better here etc etc. Meanwhile I'm scratching my head bc it's across a tiny river.

Move to bossier and tell Shreveport people you live there.

All of those are all similar to each other. The correct answer was posted earlier:
San Diego - Tijuana

You ever have to wear a Blazer and tie to school in the "winter" when it's still 90 out?
