I live near there and I can see how anyone would feel unsafe going in there after dark. Pretty much every store on Jefferson from Bocage down to Government seems safe and decent except for that Circle K.

Baton Rouge is a shithole
Having just moved back to BR after living in Metro Atlanta I can assure you that while BR may not be "awesome" there are definately worse places to live - Baton Rouge is at worst a minor league shithole.

Has anyone ever been in a Circle K that wasn't shitty? I was bummed when they bought out the Cracker Barrel Shell station near me. It was always nice and clean, but went to shite pretty quick after the sale.

The two in Hammond aren't bad, probably B tier convenience store. The "ghetto Circle-K" on Morrison isn't even a Circle-K anymore.
