How much worse is dipping rather than smoking when having drinks? Social smoking vs social dipping. Which is worse and why?

I don’t think either are bad socially. Dipping hurts nobody unless you are spitting where you shouldn’t. I don’t mind smokey places. I’ll fire one up with them. But most places now aren’t smoking places. And in those places, smokers smell like shite.
