We pretty much have the entire civilized world walking around with high definition cameras 24/7, cameras on every building, cameras on every major highway and plenty of homes.
We get videos of some of the most once in a million chance shite ever all the time but no one on seems to catch these pesky alien crafts.

Not the best theory.
There are many other theories that don’t require travel.
Life forms make mistakes. We recently had a pilot eject from the most expensive fighter aircraft we had, and our military had no idea where to find it. They asked the public to let them know if we come across it. Are we supposed to think that better technology means no errors?
