Yes, late this morning. I've also heard misguided, quiet, not racist but told lots of racist jokes, southern pride [lots of it], a usual southern conservative, quiet and creepy. Also CNNs Chris Cuomo posted that he could be disguised and was really black...arsehole!
I have yet to hear as of 3pm that he's a thug, racist, homegrown terrorist, psychopath, etc. Oh all these descriptions from major MSM.

CNN called him a psychopath...based on the fact that he sat amongst the people he was going to murder for an hour, looking them in the face...then killed them.

Article also stated he "was a pill popper.. xanax" and his felony drug arrest was after somebody called the cops on him for acting strange and asking questions such as "what time will you be off work" to a stranger working at the mall.. he was found with Suboxone

He may have been on Xanax but suboxone is for opiate addiction, i.e. pain killers and possibly heroin.

If I was the arresting officer, I believe my gun would have accidentally discharged while apprehending this suspect.

I believe they were hoping extra care was taken not to harm him. I think they want to study his reasoning and motivation. They may use any information garnered to try and help identify others in advance.
This kid said something about blacks have to stop raping our women. It was also very important to him that the pastor/senator was present. Related?

The raping the white women shite is a tired, old white supremacist line. When the white gals used to get caught sampling the chocolate hotdogs they'd cry "rape" to avoid the social stigma attached to having been caught laying with a black man (speaking in general terms, mind you, and that's not to say that black men never raped white women, only that the incidences have been blown way, way out of proportion to reality).
Back in the early 90s, my 90+ yo aunt once went off about how if it weren't for the klan, there wouldn't be any white people because the black men all want to rape all white women. She was dead serious. I've got a 1920s public school history book for fourth graders that says pretty much the same thing.
Here's a link to a book from 1910 with that story line. I imagine there's some white supremacist a-hole in this dude's family or immediate social circle who's been feeding him this crap.

The S.A/Rhodesian paraphernalia leads me to believe his anger may come from the white genocide in Southern Africa. He's probably spent hours reading about the plight of Anglo farmers and their families, post apartheid. Add crazy too the mix and you've got a ticking time bomb.

Totally agree. Why else would he be wearing Rhodesian and South African flag patches? Also makes sense about his rape comments since rape is typically involved in the white farmer murders in South Africa and Zimbabwe.

It does seem like the logical answer given the patches on the windbreaker. Time will tell for sure as more is discovered and released.
I find it odd that a twenty-one year old that has not been in school for five years, has not had a job, has a substantial drug habit, and seems to be a moron is familiar with African crime statistics, or politics. Do you think he is familiar with the "Mandella necktie"?

There are no less than a dozen documentaries on Netflix alone chronicling these happenings. It's really not that hard of a discovery.
