The Mayor makes a good point though. Anytime someone walks into a church and shoots it up, it's obviously coming from hate. I don't think anyone can make the assumption that it's racial just because of the alleged race of the shooter and the church members. Religious motivation can fall under the umbrella of a "hate crime" as well.

That's why I said they are handling it well. But anytime the suspect is white and it's an historically black church. You know what line will be walked.

I don't think he escaped. I think he lives nearby, and changed clothes already. I can't see him making it out of the city.
