“There are a number of people who carry weapons and they have their license,” said Pastor Boykin. “They don’t brandish them but I do know personally most of the ones that are carrying. They let us know.”
A number of people in Pastor Mark Boykin’s congregation come to church armed with a gun every Sunday.
“They have seen what’s on television and they care enough about the safety of their lives and their family that they aren’t going to be caught off guard,” said Boykin.
It’s an added sense of security especially after Sunday’s church massacre in Texas.

My LCH instructor talked about how a majority of the parishioners at his church carried (with consent from the pastor), and called it his 'Cowboy Church'. Turns out that is what it is actually called. 
Wish that lunatic would have gone into that church instead.

"Cowboy churches" are all over Texas. Not sure entirely what they consist of, but I have seen them in numerous small towns.

I have been cc’n in church when I noticed an uptick in security...had me thinking they knew something they weren’t telling us.

Our church and a few in our area have security teams that carry (panhandle of Florida). I asked one of the guys the other night and he said not everyone is carrying but they can if they want.

That's great Paul. I've been in a situation where my people are concerned like this. Can't put a price on peace of mind. The gall some of these deplorable numbskulls have to just go around shooting people. It really gets my knickers in a twist.
