Chubby Kid Channels Aretha Franklin at Dance Recital--Attention Whore or No?

This dance recital video has been making the rounds on social media.
Everyone is commenting on how great that chubby little kid is and how she's a star. Hell it was shown on the morning news here in DFW this morning.
Am I the only one who thinks she's an attention whore and fricked up the other kids' time in the limelight and stole attention away from them?
Guess that's what America values now. I think it's wrong.

I watched it this morning. It's a kid, I think she was just having a good time and wasn't really aware of 'taking away from the other's limelight' and stole attention away.
My parents have a video of my uncoordinated self at a dance recital where I was in the back on the end because I was THAT bad. I am sure I took away from the other girls 'limelight' because I sucked. I don't really see how that is any different than this.
ETA: She was also in the middle and seemed to know all of the moves better than the other girls. Could have been part of the number to have her act out like that.

I won't criticize the kid, but I'll bet that kid's mom is the blubbery "loud" type who would do anything to be on a reality tv show.

According to the news, she began doing her own dance moves. They were not part of the rehearsed dance moves. The other kids I think began screwing up when they were like WTF is she doing.
You can hear dad yelling That's my baby or some shite. Parents probably put her up to this stunt.
I still think it's an assholish move.
