The wife (no pics) won't let me get a fake tree. I take my girls every year to pick one out

We will get a real tree again this year. Our street has a Christmas Tree Burning Party every year so my husband enjoys watching our real tree go up in flames

Im guessing most of y'all haven't bought a tree this year? its $75 for a 6-7' tree $100 for a 8-9' they call em a foot higher though.

paid 150 for a flocked one this year. previous years we could get 3 trees a 4', 5' and 9' for 100-120, I would rent a drywall hopper and flock it my self.

They say there is a shortage, but for 150 you can get a nice, huge fake tree at the end of the season.

Just seems easier to deal with, cheaper over the long haul, and a hell of a lot less mess.

Just not getting one is even easier, cheaper, and cleaner.

Real or none, I've done both. But I'll never have a fake tree.

We bought a cheap artificial around 5 years ago a few months before we got married and didn't want to spend a lot of money. Actually think it was from like Traget the week after Christmas on sale. Keep saying we will get another or go real, but each year we are too lazy to care. It's pre-lit and still works. When this one shits the bed, we'll probably go real for a while until that's a pain

We got a fake tree this year. They’re not cheap. This thing is really well made. I feel like if I don’t try to collapse it completely and box it up, it’ll last longer. I’ll break it down into the sections and put it in the attic.

If we want a real tree next year, this one could go in another room. My folks have two trees. One has all the ornaments from over the years, one is decorated just to look good with all the other Christmas crap.

We prefer a real tree for all the usual good reasons.

Factor in allergies and mess - and that decent real trees are really pricey and get used only once.

Consider that artificial trees are useable for multiple years, look pretty good, and can be bought in any size, quality and price range. Pre-lit or not

We have an artificial tree, and have learned to like it that way.
