Worst I ever had to do was one of those damn multi game tables that converted from foosball to air hockey to pool. I remember a few princess houses being pretty crappy too though.

Yeah, my worst was one of those backyard swing/play sets made from a bagillion wood slats that had a rock wall, slide, elevated fort, etc.

Damn near drove me crazy. To top it all off, once I got it assembled, our Golden retriever puppy decided it was one big chew toy and proceeded to slowly but methodically eat the cedar base of the fort.

I don’t have kids, but for some reason these stories are always so entertaining to me.

Power wheels was put together last night, so I'm not sure what my excuse will be tonight to get out of the house. Open to suggestions.

My young kids days are behind me. Our youngest is 14 now and wanted Air pods and Doc Martens this year.

Try assembling something large and what is apparently complex with your spouse.
If you don't kill each other, you will then have a merry Christmas.

Our first house was small and didn't have a garage or anywhere that I could really hide pre-assembled gifts. So I had to do it all on Christmas Eve after the kids were in bed. There was a lot of cussing at 3am and pounding beers back in those days

We do extended family on Christmas Eve at my house and our family on Christmas morning. Which means I have to wait until the kids are in bed and everyone leaves before I can start.

This year I have a basketball goal, 2 scooters, an R/C car.

Had something big to put together and we decided to give it to our kids yesterday as a gift from us to avoid having to put it together over night.

Aw man you just brought back a memory. Santa brought us a basketball goal but it was cemented into the ground. I wonder when the hell my dad did that???

Santa brought us a fort/play set one year and was kind enough to leave my dad a note letting him know where the instructions and the tools were.

No way he was getting that assembled over night and he made it easy on himself.

That's a good idea.

I just asked my mom about the basketball goal and she said the part that was in the ground was just a metal holder and not the actual pole for the goal, so he did it out in broad daylight and we didn’t think anything of it.

My dad is always outside puttering around with something, so it wasn’t unusual.

Mom:

My neighbor laughed when I told her that you were so in tune with things, that dad had to actually go outside and hose off the reindeer food because you would go outside to see if they ate it.

Is it a really little one (like 3 ft or so) or one of those in between 8 ft ones?

If it’s the 8 ft ones the one I did was a huge pain in the arse. Way harder than our big trampoline was.

we have to do this

one year I had recently killed a deer, so I had a deer foot laying around (thats not weird), so I put a few "reindeer" tracks in our yard and my daughter spent the rest of the day looking for reindeer tracks and was getting pretty upset that she couldn't find anymore anywhere else

so thats something that I decided to never do again

I had to ask our friends what the godchildren were into that they hadn’t bought and apparently the littlest one has been going on and on about some pooping bird she sees on TV commercials.

It poops on the toilet and also eats it’s own poop. My friends said they are not buying that weird thing. Lol.

So of course I bought it and it’s arriving Tuesday.
