I laugh when people say that the ALCU isn't a liberal organization. They may do a good job defending some civil liberties but they are still a leftist organization bent on progressive dogma.

They refuse to defend 2nd amendment cases but they will defend the hell out of everything else on the bill of rights.

And there's plenty of $$ and support in defending the 2nd amendment. I don't agree with everything that the ACLU does (like their view on the 2nd amendment), but the hatred they get is ridiculous. It is overall a very good and important organization

Damn right they are. This guy is a fricking moron, but they do a lot of important work. This guy is just a far left liberal wacko. And I say far left, because I've always considered myself as liberal/progressiv. But this dude isn't representative of people with liberal mindsets anymore than Fred Phelps was of conservative mindsets.

It's easy to take someone with the furthest extreme viewpoint, and try to paint others with the same brush. But I damn sure won't do that with conservatives, because generalizing like that is stupid, and becomes dangerous for a society.

Until we get out of this "anyone who disagree with me is the enemy" political mentality, this country is fricked, regardless of which party holds leadership. Compromise isn't a four letter word.
