Avengers star Chris Evans has honored a little boy who saved his sister from being ravaged by a charging dog, sending him a sweet video message and vowing to send him a Captain America shield.
Evans - who plays the superhero in Marvels movies - recorded a clip for Bridger Walker after news spread of how the child from Cheyenne, Wyoming put himself in between his sibling and the animal, leading to him getting mauled and needing 90 stitches.
'I read your story, I saw what you did. I’m sure you’ve heard this a bunch of times over the last couple of days, but let me be the first one to tell you, Pal, you’re a hero,' he said.
'What you did was so brave and so selfless. Your sister is so lucky to have you as a big brother. Your parents must be so proud of you.'

In the video Evans tells Bridger he's sending him 'an authentic Captain America shield because pal, you deserve it'.
'I’m gonna track down your address and I’m gonna send you an authentic Captain America shield, because pal, you deserve it,' Evans continued. 'Keep being the man you are, we need people like you. Hang in there, I know recovery might be tough. But, based on what I’ve seen, there’s not much that could slow you down.'
Evans added in a Twitter caption: 'Get this man a shield.'

That kid is awesome and the shield is a nice gesture, but Evans is still a giant pussy. Although he is thoughtful.

What’ll really be badass is if the kid goes back and kills the dog with the shield.

Not far enough
You buy a dog on the dangerous and aggressive breed list and it does this you go to prison for attempted murder
That simple

Does every thread have to become political here now?
FFS, he just reached out to a 6 year old to let him know how brave he was.

The kid is definitely a hero and the gesture is great by Evans, but what?

fricking awesome. Chris Evans, I disagree with his politics, but he’s a good dude.

It doesn’t link to a video when I click for some reason.

This is really pissing me off. Evans is basically saying he's entitled to just give away Wakandan vibranium because he's Captain America. I can't even right now.

I read Chris Owens instead of Evans and I was wondering what she did to get Captain America's shield.

Kid said he thought he might die but he’d rather him than his little sister.
Mother fricking tears dude

“Look at me. I’m the captain now.” - Bridger (hopefully)

It’s gotta suck to tie so much of your identity to a political party that this is how you see and react to things. Sounds miserable

Props to this kid for having bigger balls than half the people out there!
Also props to Evans for honoring the kid who saved his sisters life. He could have easily picked some political BS and gotten way more clout.

I believe you are confusing politics with the idea of America. The guy clearly doesn’t like America or believe in the basic freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution. That is why I don’t like him personally. Has zero to do with politics.
I am not miserable, but I can clearly see ignorant sheep and their disdain for my beloved country.
