I love kids (no he way you do, since that is your romantic demographic) and that's why we provide a taxpayer supported educational system and food.
But again, you have no reading comprehension, this conversation was about workers. Not children.

So do you like seeing your 401k go up? Because if you do, you can thank CEOs for that.
Of course, I'm not saying it's an easy job.
That doesn't mean it's the best thing for society for their wages to keep growing exponentially while almost all other workers' wages have stagnated

Obviously not enough to actually raise them

The system is broken.
It is. But not for the reasons you think it is.
There is a large part of this country that prefers to have the government take care of them, even if it means they amount to nothing and contribute nothing.
You always get more of what you subsidize. And in this country we subsidize what you see in most inner cities and in backwoods rural areas.

More lies. Which is why your reputation here blows.

Interesting, since that is the opposite of what happened.

I have no empathy for a poor kid in Detroit nor Denham Springs.
I have seen a lot of stuff that is as bad or worse than that shite in Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan. I have seen enough good and way too much bad that I don't feel sorry for anyone. I just don't have it in me anymore.
I don't care what anyone does or has or how they live as long as I'm not paying for it.

They'll just complain because the cost of everything will go up
Inflation was going to happen either way. Before Trump the dollar was already at 1/10 of what is was when the federal reserve started it. So prices have been going up forever... It is a bad look for people to complain about a company raising prices a minuscule amount to pay their employees more.

I can only attest for Chicago, but yes, downtown Chicago is very safe, and one of the cleanest cities you'll visit.
The violent crimes you hear about might as well be in another state. No one ever goes to the southside willingly, and will never need a reason to.
Chicago crime is through the roof!

The homeless explosion certainly backs that up. As with the large on the public dole. It seems to keep growing.
In addition to economics, our resident progs need to learn about behavioral psychology. They just don't get it.

Jus admit this conversation is over your head and you can't comprehend fact. What do you do for a living? I'm guessing restaurant work. Your life is fraught with jealousy.

There are a lot of shootings and murders in some areas, and they are on the rise like they are in the rest of the country's cities. But Chicago massive and thus the murder rate is actually pretty low compared to most southern cities.
Violent crime rate is significantly lower than New Orleans, Memphis, Jackson, Baton Rouge, St Louis, etc. It's slightly worse than Houston though.
