Put me down as a skeptic. I'm going to need a taste test.

No different than eating pig, chicken, or cows. to americans, dogs are pets. to a lot of the world, they're just another protein source.

I've actually never eaten dog, but SE asian culture eat cats/dogs because other proteins aren't as easy to come by as they are in america. Hell, in prison in Vietnam my dad used to eat rats/mice for protein.

I wouldn't torture anything before I killed it, but I don't care one bit that they eat dogs. For people that tout themselves as so tolerant, Americans try to crush other people's cultures all over the world. If that's what they do in China then IDGAF its their culture and their prerogative. If you don't like don't travel half way around the world to go there.

I agree. If they farm raise them and leave out the torture then I see no problem with eating dog. It's no different than cows, chickens, turkeys, etc.

Humans literally engineered these animals to be our companion.

Broiled Beagle anyone?

No different than RAT meat 300 millions pounds of it being sold to America and marketed in this nation as "boneless Chicken Wings" that was sold during Super Bowl week end.

I googled it so it has to be true.

I have a buddy in Korea now. He actually just told me today that he tried dog meat and it was nothing special, kind of like in between beef and rabbit. But they cooked the skin into a soup. He had the soup but not the actual skin as it looked "pretty gnarly"

Kind of disappointed I didn't try dog when I was there 3 months ago
