Any country could be the one that starts a pandemic. People eat wild animals everywhere. Are you going to tell all the baws in the US they can't hunt anymore? Are you going to stop all the people who collect exotic pets? Are you going to stop people from living in squalor?

Can't avoid goods made in China, but I do try to avoid products and services owned by Chinese companies (large funds & holding companies make it hard at times or things Motorola Mobility own by Chinese and Motorola Solutions still being American).
The Great Firewall of China should have to come down to let info freely flow in and out of country and its govt should be forced to be more open with its financial & monetary policies and the amount of control over "private" Chinese corporations. They should also be penalized for stealing & copying property of others. I doubt world has enough common sense to come together & push this. Big Tech and Media and quite a few politicians continually sell out their ideals they want to force on members of their own country to get that Chinese money for themselves.

Live animal trade drastically increases the likelihood than a disease will mutate and adapt from 1 animal (pangolins in this instance) to another (humans). When this happens, the new host has essentially no immune defense against a brand new disease, so it tears through a population.
