China becomes second country to successfully land a probe on Mars

And you know what I say: good. In fact this doesn’t go far enough: China needs to put a man AND woman on the Moon to get us back in the Space Race. Here’s what a lot of people don’t get: the Space Race is a glorified dick measuring contest. If Earth were the size of a basketball then proportionately the Moon would be 30 feet across the room and the size of softball. You know how far we’ve gone from that basketball since 1972? 3/8 of an inch. So we’re currently a 30 foot long slong vs a normal sized clit.
We need to have a rocket launched up our asses to advance the space race and save our species and ideology. China and Russia have actually come together and agreed to build a Moon Base together. Now that sure as shite never happen since the values of the CCP and KGB will be spread throughout the stars. No we need to get back to the Moon, build a base there and do astronauts training up there, and then launch from there to Mars. Even if the Chinese beat us to Mars, it’d be far more devastating if they built the first Moon Base which they’d soon drag nukes up there to defend and make sure we couldn’t get a grasp on our nearest rock to launch to the stars. So I’m glad we’ve got some competition if for no other reason than saving the species.
