How many Louisiana families with long term roots in the state have Spanish last names? I know the white nationalist leader Leander Perez did.
Would they be considered Hispanics by this, and thus people of color?
That seems really funny-the idea that Leander Perez would be considered a person of color. As well as some posters on this tigerdroppings thread who don’t even realize it.

That looks like hispanics on welfare are proportional to their population. And considering many are recent immigrants and second generation and mostly working class poor, that doesn't really support the idea that hispanics are swelling the welfare rolls. The fact is, hispanics have contributed greatly to our economy for many years by providing labor to build our houses, schools, shopping centers and cooking for us when we go out to eat. Without the hispanic population, everything would be way more expensive. And the sons and daughters of these laborers become doctors, lawyers, engineers and entrepreneurs just like the sons and daughters of white people.

Correct
I know this because I live in a majority hispanic city. Most business owners, lawyers, doctors and the like are hispanic. Same goes for pretty much any profession.
